We Train Leaders for Prison/Jail/Rehabilitation Ministry

HIGHLIGHTS OF OUR PROGRAM
Emphasis on training leaders. This is because human interaction factor is the real key to helping prisoners and families, not just providing them with information. It is not enough just to preach at inmates or give them something to read. They need a structured, interactive program that stresses small-group interaction as well as one-on-one. Chaplains and exisiting prison ministries are welcome and can benefit from our leader training. We teach how to effectively get through the crust, shell, or front that people put up. This includes the delicate communications skills needed to help a closed and distrusting person to open up and interact honestly so that personal growth can occur.

  • Emphasis on Volunteers – Our complete program is run by volunteers whose salary comes from retirement, churches or other sources.
  • Our curricular building blocks have already been successfully used in prisonsacross the country. Major components are the Living Free/Turning Pointministry and Dad’s Coaching Clinic.
  • Interdenominational – We seek to help all Christian Prison Ministries to Grow. We work with local communities, denominations, and inter-church efforts. We will train leaders to lead in the denomination or group they are already in. Our 100-hour program focuses on the most basic needs of prisoners as identified by the Florida State Legislature.
  • Structured – Our program is built upon printed materials with definite goals and objectives for sessions within each unit. Units vary from 9-12 sessions. Leaders are committed to one unit.
  • Our training is based on the teachings of Christ through the Bible and on sound educational practices.
